SYMON What controls the radiator fan, tells it when to come on and off? Mine comes on sometimes when its cold! Only on occasions though. Is there a thermostat switch somewhere or anything else?
vocky there is a fan switch on the rad 🙂 but the ecu can switch on the fan when certain error codes are present dunno..
SYMON Cheers Vocky, could you give me a idea on location of the switch? Probably worth changing as it wont cost alot.
vocky there is usually two on the rad down the side at the bottom, might be easier to buy a new sender and then locate the correct one to swap 🙂

exmantaa The Speedster/VX220 also lacks a radiator sensor/switch and only the Z22SE ECU controls the fan-relais.
SYMON I looked on the radiator a while back and could see nothing! Where is the temperature sender unit on the block?

This is very infrequent, I might just leave it, car never has overheating problems.

Ashep22 Any pictures of the switch?? I cant remember ever hearing the fan come on come to think of it, when i sit at lights the temp goes up past 90 degres and which i dont think should happen..
