Manifold blowing??

I get a dogey blowing niose when i first start the car in the morning from cold.. Also a rich smell comming through the vents.. The blowing noise does seem to stop after the engines warmed up though notsure.gif

Also when the car labours you get a horrible noise from the the engine bay.. I think this is the exhaust blowing under pressure notsure.gif

Could this be the front down pipe/manifold??

Also it passed its mot only a few weeks before i got it :?

If so what is the price for one and to be fitted..

could be the cast manifold, remove the heatshield and have a look dunno..

a new manifold is under £100 from the dealer

As vocky say take off the heat sheild take a look. Do it yourself if it has gone no knowledge needed just remove and replace.

How easy is it to remove the shield.. Nuts etc???
