"Flippy" Keys on Vectra B - Is it Possible ????

like it says really, ive never seen a blank later style flippy key but a cut one looks similar to the key on the veccy b, but is it possible to program the the later flipper plipper to work on the veccy ????

I am sure it does work. A few lads on the Vectra forum did this mod a while back as I sold them a few flip keys. You needed a blank blade to get cut to match your car then I am sure they had it programmed up notsure.gif

Havent spotted one thats been reprogrammed to the vectra myself. The ones i saw they were fitting the electrics from a vectra b key inside the c key, trimming it to fit and soldering new buttons to match with the placement on the c key.
The blade can be taken from a vectra b's key too as far as im aware, although i gather the tolerances are quite tight.

Does that make any sense?

As above. A chap on VVOC was doing them. I gather its a pain in the ass to do. I have also seen 1st hand a cavalier key turned into a Vectra C flip. One of our regional members on VxlSCC has one.

Maybe the vvoc guy still does them?

A mate of mine had his cavalier key installed in one, trouble is the key shop guy didnt leave the key blade long enough, it'll open the doors but wont work in the ignition.
