I think i did keep it......but where it is in my pile of stuff out of the garage is another question...Wont be goin down there till the weekend so i'll dig it out and if u still need one then just gimme a shout

Thanks for responding guys. I just want to reconnect the EGR valve to see if it makes any difference. It's been disconnected for a while now and I think the engine runs better without it, but I've noticed an increase in oil consumption and I wondered if it could be due to this. Would be interested in your thoughts.

Did you solve this issue with the oil ?

I've not got round to sorting out replacing the egr pipe so I'm still running without one. I think the oil consumption was maybe down to me not checking the dipstick for a while and it just suprised me to see the level half way between min & max. And I've noticed the level shown can vary loads if the car's not perfectly level, so my driveway doesn't help. I've since changed the oil and filter and everything seems ok. I normally find between 6 monthly oil changes I don't need to top it up. 🙂
