combustion chamber volume

can someone (whos got a head off) kindly CC the combustion chamber of an unskimmed head please.

Need to make sure the sandcast head I have is of the correct CR etc. Thanks

done it via the maths way lol

assuming the 10:1 ratio that is advertised is right and the HG is about 1mm after fitting and bieng crushed.
2189 cc/4 for swept.
6cc for the HG (calculated)
gives a combustion volume of 55cc.

assuming this to be fairly accurate I need to measure the saab head and see where to go from there.

not really, just basic engine maths lol...

made a tad harder having to do it all on paper as my website that has all these calculators on there is down at the moment grrr

It would be good to know what the CR would be with the SAAB-head, everything else as standard. The same, raised or lowered?

I need to get some time to myself and measure the saab head.... if its mroe than 55cc then its a lwoer CR. I would guess that thre might be a slight difference in head cc, but at the same time the moulds for makign the casts are probalby all the same so "might" be the same head volumes. Ill ask my mate who worked on the global engine.
