Oil change

Hello all, did an oil change the other day, suprised by how much easier the canister type oil filter is compared to the replacement screwy one to change. Anyway, mu haynes manual recommends that the car will take 5 litres of oil (4 to min and approx another 1 litre to go to max) However, 4 litres of oil filled the car to the max !!

Is this right ?? Am a little worried after reading how inaccurate the z22se dipsick is....

I usually get about 4-5 litres in, just keep an eye on the dipstick level for a few days 🙂

Thanks Vocky, i got woried when i dropped the oil out as only about a litre come out, then it started dribbling....I started to worry, looked again and it was flowing fast again, so i was very relieved !

aup mate thats wot they like then when u hav taken it 4 a run it will take 5l !! the think wot does me the seal 4 the oil filter only sum vauxhall places hav them bit poo aint it ? gud job my make works at a vauxhall dealer lol 😃

aup u know wen u change ur oil leave the sump bolt out and take out the oil filter! becuz sum times it keeps oil in there, so wen u put u sump bolt bk in old oil going down 2 ur sump !! 😃

yer i left it out, still checking my oil often, its strange, car ssems fine tho. Thankyou !! (I hope its ok anyway haha)
