You download a piece of software called DMT, and it allows you to manually adjust the SNR with a hidden menu.

I've played about a bit more, and now getting 11.5mb

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,243 / 11,501

Just lowered the SNR to 4, and getting just under 12 now:

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,248 / 11,995

I have two speedtouch modems (well sort of), I have an early 510v4 and a homehub which can be 'hacked' back to the manufacturers software version (speedtouch 7g).

Which version of the DMT software did you use and what did you tweak?

There is a specific version for the model of Router you have. I'll find the link for it tonight and put it in here for you. I'll find the information I used as well that tells you what to change.

i should have mine in a month or so, is there any way i can tweak my bt broadband at all for the time being?

Downloaded a few versions of the dmt software....and none seem to be compatable with my netgear DG834g

Managed to get it to work....but cannot alter any settings as my router aint supported that well.....god
