Well, everything connected back up, no mil light from the egr cheater  .
Im probably going over old ground of what people have said already, does seem to be noticable drop in torque - not as much shove low down as it had before, does rev more freely though and pulls stronger higher up the revs. I think my engine is quite restricted anyway due to the standard VX220 exhaust manifold cat and exhaust.
The change in engine note is quite suprising - sounds quite a bit more throaty/roary (not bremner) when you accellerate which is fun- gives a different note to the K&N.
I always had a dip at 2000rpm - this seems to have disappeared now which is nice.
So to take advantage of the manifold Ill need to get the exhaust sorted to try and claw back some torque.
Thanks to everyone who has done the mod before and posted up - all this info was invaluable.
If I did it again I would go via the fuel rail removal route - fitting the ecu mounting plate with the manifold in place was a real ballache due to the poor access with the fuel rail in place there was no way the manifold with the ecuplate attached would go in (in my case anyway).
Be patient and persistant!
Time to go rallygif
