Gazza well tonight i was going to a straight bit of road in town and towards the bottom were 2 coppers with a camera this was at 8pm tonight.im not sure how fast i was going but i would say no more than 35 and its a 30mph zone, my question is would they have pulled me there and then or will they send a ticket if i was over 30 ?
batcho i think u have 2 b doing 35 or over 4 a ticket or it might b 32 now but i think they would have pulled u dunno..
JohnnyN A friend of mine who I work with has just been done for 35mph in a 30mph zone. He had a fine and had to attend a driver awareness class for one day. His ticket came thru' the post. :roll:
Sjdickso Gaz i had a similar thing happen to me last week. Posted up in another section. All you can do is wait really.I believe they have to serve the NIP within 14 days or you can contest. I also believe it was 10% + 2 but i think this just a guidline. The road where i thought i may have been done have just had all speed camera signs put up this week.
Davemark Remmber your speedo is usualy a bit out , can range from 5mph - 2mph .. so if your speedo is saying 35 you could be doing anywhere from 30-32 Regards Dave
Gazza oh well if i get a ticket i will just pay it and take the 3 points 🙁 juat a bit gutting there is no signs etc but hey i should have been doing 30 anyway.but i thought theey were not allowed to use camera where they are not sign posted.
vocky lets hope you were within the 30mph margin cheers.. bad drivers cause the most hassle, yet they persist on scamera's to earn money :evil:
vocky not according to BBC Watchdog, the hand held laser camera's can be very inaccurate if used incorrectly dunno..
vocky it's the usual thing, as with most things ............. it's only as good as the person using it the best one I can remember was an american plane, it went so fast the pilots fainted, that's not good is it notsure.gif :lol:
Matt I got caught and had to do one of those speed awareness courses, i was the only young lad there ! most was over 50 !!! and one guy said people like us shouldnt be here its the youngens like him that should.....then during the course it turned out that i knew the road better than any of them and in the pratical i came top... hated going tho - waste of 80.00 altho i didnt speed in the first place... funny thing was when i turned up at the barrier in my suped up lowered vecky the guards came to have a look and asked why i was there and i said speed awareness and they was like "i wonder why"
amanda if you were caught ull get a letter in the door within 14 days if your the registered keeper, if you dont then dont worry. i know for northumbria police (who i work for) the minimum they prosecute at it is 35mph, which you will be offered a course for - the speed awareness, now the costs for that vary across the country cos different police forces use different providers.

If it was just two coppers they have to pull you over in order to issue a ticket/producer... if you sailed by them without them pulling you then nowt to worry about showo..
