Door Handles

Got some door handles from the rear of a 5 door Astra, so I'm going to colour code them tomorrow and will also be de-locking it in the process 😃

sounds good Matt, I have a spare set which i was going to colour code but haven't got round to spraying them yet or more to the point haven't got anyone to spray them yet.

i was looking at colour coding my bump strips but not sure on it ?may go black with them to keep in with the wheels ?

What is strange with my car the door handles are CC but the bump strips are not? I really need to get my backside in to gear and get my bump strips done.

Cars after mid 2002 come as standard with door handles colour coded from what I can gather. The handles are finished and fitted already 😃

Didn't need any more paint, just some more plastic primer, which I got from Halfords this morning. I've still got a "bit" of paint left, but will need another tin at least to do the side skirts.

Took about 2 hours to paint and fit them from start to finish.

Did you use rattle cans for that cos thats a nice finish.

How many coats of top coat did you do?

Yep, rattles cans bought from www.paints4u.com

Gave it 4 "good" top coats with it being the door handles, and they'll get more hammer than any other parts of the car. I still need to flat it back with some rubbing compound to give it a smoother finish.

I didn't mate, I can do the instructions, but didn't take any photo's.
