Will lowering my car damage my shocks?

I'm thinking of lowering my car 30mm all round, but want to keep my standard shocks. I have been told this will ware-out my shocks quicker. Is this correct? Has anybody on here had any problems lowering on standard shocks?

I would think it will be fine, but it all depends on the mileage of the shocks :?

many owners replace the springs on a car which has done 90k + and then complain the shocks fail notsure.gif

the shocks are already worn out, the lowered springs highlight the fact.....
