Eibach Spring Kit

Is there any advantage by changing the standard springs on my car for a set of Eibach springs? Would the car sit any lower than it does now and would it firm up the suspension even more than it is now?

I've spent a lot of money on fillings over the past few years and i'm getting older now so having my teeth shaken out of my gums isn't quite what I had in mind!

it's not that bad, just take speed bumps at 10 mph and it will just jar your spine rather than break it :lol:

Got to take speed bumps in mine nearly stopped....having the shocks on super hard dont help tho... 😃

i fitted eibach springs to my old bmw 318is and they improved the handling they also gave a pretty good ride still, have you thought about a set of new standard dampers and a set of eibach springs this would improve your car a lot without giving you a filling shaking ride.

i fitted some standard monroe gas shockers to my xr2i and a set of spax lowering springs this gave me what i wanted a lowered stance but a good ride because of new dampers.

a lot of people fit new lowered springs to cars with 60k +miles and dont consider that there shockers might be worn out and in need of replacement.

Had Eibach on the Coupe and now have them on the the sport Hatch, they are a big improvment over the standard springs with out too much comfort loss. Road holding is much better with less body roll, as above though get some new OE shocks depending how hold yours are johnny!!!!

Thinking about getting new springs for the car, ebach ones too. Whats the best to lower it by?

Car has 55k on it, best getting new shocks aswell?

35mm drop is the usual route, shocks should be ok, if you can afford new ones then buy a suspension kit (springs + shocks)

I've decided on the.........wait for it...............Courtenay Eibach & Bilstein suspension kit. The Eibach springs are the Pro Line kit and the Bilstein dampers will be the B8 dampers that they recommend. Once funds allow it, I shall be looking to go for a Whiteline Anti-Roll bar for the rear end too.

B8's are very hard, but worth it :lol:

just buy a 2.2 dti rear anti roll bar from the dealers, 22mm and seriously stiff showo..

Righty then!! I've made the decision to change the suspension when the car goes into Courtenay in the next few weeks. I'm going for the Bilstein Yellow B8 Damper Kit and the Eibach Springs. I'm also going to have a Whiteline Anti-Roll Bar done too. That should be it mechanicaly for the car. I'm thinking about an irmscher upper and lower grill to finish off the exterior and I think that'll be it.

Vocky i was also looking at a whiteline rear ARB, would the "2.2 dti rear anti roll bar from the dealers, 22mm and seriously stiff" fit the astra or is there another one which would fit mine???

i have a white line ARB and the camber shims on the coupe whooow
what a difference they make to just 30mm lowering springs i can really swing it in to hard corners now with out the loss of grip but i think the most important part is the tyres i have poo tyres on the front and get a lot of over steer just had some new tyres on the back but there to big 225/40/18s theses do not fit on an Astra...
ARB was from lmf cheaper than Courtenay but it was sent straight from Oz to my house i paid the same price as the fixed ARB but got the adjustable one 🙂
shop around and Diy fit it don't take it to be fitted at a garage big bucks £££££
especially suspension easy as chips to do
wheel off 1 nut at top and 2 bolts at the bottom,
so far i have lowered 4 Astra's,2veccys,reno19,calebra4x4 and 2 cav's,the vec is a bit more of a bitch but only on the rear otherwise its like a 25min job with a tea break...

ive heard the Eibach & Bilstein suspension kit is the best option for astra/vectra but a good spring kit will do the same a said above as long as the shocks are ok

i can probably do one of my how to guides on the spring and shock replacement as i have both astra and vecra on my drive

I'm starting to worry about how much i've spent on it, but at the end of the day its done now. Its unique and thats how I want it. I think that if I mentioned selling it to the wife, she would cut off my bollocks and mount them on the front grill of my car just so that she could add a personal touch of her own!! pmsl..

Going for the rear Whiteline adj ARB myself gotta agree with you evocarlos got the Eibach alighnment kit also and love it does make a big difference and the tyres don't end up with corner wear...
Was just wandering though as I said getting the ARB but does anyone know if you can get a Strut Brace for the Coupe? Just I've never seen one advertised...

front or rear ? i know the front is the same as the 3/5 door astra but i think the rear will have to be a custon joby was going to make one for mine but it will get in the way of the stereo gear..
