My Astra Coupe 2.2 had the chain replaced in 2005, before I bought the car. The owner
complained about a knocking noise from the engine.
The work was done at a local Opel workshop, and the new oil jet was also fitted.
Is there any risk of the new chain snapping, or will it last "forever"?
The car has done 79000km (49100 miles).
I change oil/filter every 15000km, once between the ridiculous 30000km service intervals.
