Hello and welcome to the site.
Mine had done about 118k when i had my timing and balance shaft chains changed, they were the original chains so no problems with snapping for me. I had the smaller type oil jet fitted to. So its not all doom and gloom 🙂
I had them changed due to the milage of the car and for peace of mind.
