My Vectra's new front end :)

Hey guys,

My car is a CAT C 2001 2.2 SRI 150 vectra, and had the front smashed in, before i bought it, so when I bought it, it came with preface bumper and fogs, facelift lights...

Finally Ive had enough, so i bought angel eyes, and a genuine GSI bumper.

Just a few pics for you all 🙂

Because the rest of the paintwork looks really pants, I'm getting a respray, as soon as I've managed to get the time lol...

anyway, Just thought I'd let you see my latest work 🙂

I need to give it a clean cause i had to drive the car home before I took pics, but the bonnet is so bad, I just cant get the bugs and crap off, its been in to 3 or 4 of these drive in car washes and even they cant get it clean lol...

I guess once they sand off the bonnet and things, then respray it, it will be lovely again 🙂

urm, just the respray.. I've already fitted a K&N cone and flat blade wipers, I've ordered a EGR blanking plate, I dont really know what else to do lol, I wanted to fit a strut brace but I couldnt find one to fit a 2.2, i emailed a raid company who said they dont make one anymore for a 2.2 🙁 which is rubbish i think..

I emailed them about a 2.5 sri strut and they said they dont make any struts that fit a 2.2 because of the engine bay layout...

then they added this:

Your car looks good !! Ive been looking for a GSi bumper for ages !!

I cant see why that wont fit a 150 ???

Doesnt look like there will eb anything onstructing it to me ?

Thanks 🙂 I know what you mean, ive been looking since feb, when i bought the car, and then i saw one the other week, and i was just like, money is in the bank, sod it, so i got the bumper for £200 and the paint locally sprayed for £100, but then the guys said he will spray my rear bumper and the whole drivers side of the car, and the whole bonnet to the same shade, then polish up the whole car, for only £280!!! madness lol, so im just trying to scrap together some cash, because i defo want my chain done too, and thats more important lol

The Raid 2.5 V6 strut brace will fit a 2.2

There's bags of room for it to fit. thumbup

I ordered a raid strut brace, so just waiting for that to come now, met up with Daz today and saw a very sexy astra 2.2 engine cover, so i'm gonna have to get myself one of those lol, and i also want one of the plastic covers over the radiator etc, so, need to to have a look around for one of those lol...

🙂 gonna be a busy 2/3 weeks again now, cam chain, respray and general tart up lol.. fun fun 🙂
