I Want To Lock The Car But Not Alarm It

Hi all, im leaving my pride and joy at an airport carpark for the week while im away and was just a bit worried about the alarm goin off and flattening the battery, as i will have the keys. Does the alarm switch off after a certain period or will the indicators just keep flashing untill the battery is flat? OR is there a way to lock and imobilise the car without alarming it? dunno.. Quick replys needed as am goin in the morning 😃

on my old calibra the alarm was only armed when you turned the key into deadlock position (key turned to the 3o clock position then remove the key) not sure if it's the same on the newer cars lock the door then take the key out in the 12o clock position. On most after market alarms they are only allowed to sound for 30 sec due to noise polution laws prob the same for the standard ones? so should turn off by it's self?

just looked in the hand book siron sounds for 30 secs but hazards flash for 5 mins.

You can turn off the internal sensors and the tilt motion sensors

hi, i dont know if im too late to reply but try locking your car using the key in the doorlock and not using the keyfob buttons to lock it, with vectra b's this locked the doors without arming the alarm and im pretty sure its the same for astras, hope this helps
