What the cheapest way to get a spoiler painted?

Hello, I have just bought a spoiler of ebay for £25. It is ready to be painted.

I need to paint it to star silver. I have recently spent some money on exhaust system, so dont want to spend much on this. The cheapest quote I got from a body shop is £80 just to paint.

Would it be possible to buy the paint in a spray tin and spray it on myself like how I spray deocdrant on myself?

If I have to get it professionaly done from a paint shop/body shop , how much is a fair charge for the same?

£100 to paint a spoiler is the going rate, I would advise to get it done at a bodyshop, much better finish 🙂

As Vocky has said mate. Don't scrimp on paint work or else it'll look shit! Save your money until you can have it done professionally.

Agree with above mate, it will look shite if you do it yourself, you have to rub it down, 1 coat of paint, rub down for high spots, then spray again about 3 coats, then laquer it twice etc.

i hope i dont succumb to temptation and try something stupid.

i will wait until I have saved up enought for that ( dont want to use my Credit cards..)

i payed 50 quid to get my front bumper sprayed at a "body shop" two days later its covered in stone chips and looks crap. lucky this was my old vectra. and not my coupe. just goes to show the cheap option isnt always that good.
