Mark_Dj I need to know if the front spring on a 2.0 Dti is the same as a 2.0 Sri 2001 reg? It's just that I need a full strut for the passenger for my diesel, and I have an Sri one to take it from dunno.. . Cheers for any info :razz:
Mark_Dj Can you bend a hub easy from an accident? It's just that my hub / wheel on the front passenger side is sitting like this \ notsure.gif . I am even thinking my tracking might just be out dunno.. . As the alloy has a good scrape on it.
vocky springs are the same as a V6, the 2.0 spring is not up to the job 🙁 looks like a bent shock absorber dunno..
Mark_Dj Cheers. I have picked up a strut from my mates yard but not sure what it came off. It looks the same as the one I am about to take off. 🙂
vocky there are two types of strut, the difference is the size of the shock absorber shaft 🙂 sri is about 3mm bigger 🙂 either will be fine cheers..
Mark_Dj I now have it on and all looks great. I have had it out but it sounds like the cv has gone notsure.gif . It looked fine when I took it off ie no split rubbers. I noticed the drop link has gone and the rubber around the steering arm has twisted around dunno.. . Cheers
vocky probably the wheel bearing 🙁 to check a cv just hold the hub still and twist the driveshaft, any play and the cv needs changing

vocky it's either the hub bearing or cv or both notsure.gif if you have a spare hub I would change it and see what happens cheers..
Mark_Dj I need to get it in mot standard for next week, I defo need a new drop link arm and sort that clicking out. I was just thinking of giving it to Vauxhall to mot and fix anything it fails the mot on. Here is how it looks today after a new strut went on. I have two silver doors to go on today.. [/url]

vocky I would class that as a minor bump dunno.. what's it going to cost to repair.... a few hundred quid :roll:
Daz Thats roughly the same damage looks wise to a corsa b we had in the other day....wasnt worth them claming on there insurance,L reg worth nowt really....It had wing damage,strut and hub was bent and a slight ding in the wheel...gonna cost bout £200 in parts and a few hours labour...
