Hi everyone. I've not visited the site for ages, but it's great to see it's growing and still going strong.
I could do with some help to solve the problem that has developed with the electronic climate control in my Astra Coupe. The problem is adjusting the direction of the air, ie to the screen, dash vents or footwell. This function can normally be done manually through the electronic climate control, or when set to "auto" the unit distributes the air automatically so as to best achieve and maintain the chosen desired temperature. But at the moment, although the control unit display remains fully functional and tells me the direction of the air flow, the mechanism that opens and closes the various vents isn't moving.
I've checked the little electric motor and the vent mechanism and everything seems in order. And I've tested the five wires that connect the control unit to the motor. They showed one wire with +12v and the other four with +3.5v and these readings didn't change when the control unit was adjusted. So does that mean the control unit is faulty? A new one is over £240 so I need to be sure before paying that.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
