Scrapyard bargains

Thought i did well getting a cruise control stalk and clutch switch for £8, Recently got both xenon light auto level sensors and the wiring to put traction control switch in for £5! 🙂

Just the oem hids and headlight washers to find now :lol:

Oh and that illusive facelift TC switch!

When I had a cavalier I found a deadlocked Cav CD sat on top of a CDX, there were some plier marks on the lockpins lol but no-one had got in, luckily they left the battery in the engine bay and I got all the locks off at once. I ended up with a highly specced Cavalier LS cheers..

Found any other hidden gems?

I haven't been to a scrappy since I had my Mk3 Fez, and I got clear indicators, and a few other bits pretty cheap

the scrapyards round here won't let you walk around them anymore. you have to tell them what you want and they go get it for you 🙁

my mate needed a new rear bumper, found a perfect colour match...£25 😃

all time bargain was a complete Janspeed exhaust for £5 :lol:

I went to pic up spares the other day and they let me go behind the counter to have a look for some clips that hold the fuel pipes on under the rear seats as vx didnt stock them when I got them off took them to the counter and hes let me have them for free. Now thats a bargain......But I know what u mean Andy

The yard i used to use has died off really, they dismantle coaches now 🙁

I travel upto Newcastle, theres a great selection up there.
