2.4 TB O/D size....Help!!

Hi all,
Can anyone with a 2.4 TB (alanoo?) please help me out. I need to know the outside diameter of the throttle body where the induction pipe conects so I can order some silicon hose and stuff to conect it to my dbilas flowmaster(68mm ID) 😃

The TB and inlett should arrive tuesday or wednesday and I want all the bits ready to stick them on. I have virtually everything else.

I'm going to order the bits from www.viper-performance.co.uk, they look good stuff and whilst not cheap, they seem to carry most stuff in stock so I can get it quick. Idealy would like to order tonight. Thanks Lads.

I heard from Markv that it has the same OD as the standard 58mm TB. And that should be 75mm? Anyway, the induction kit for your old 58mm TB will also fit the 2.4 TB without modification.

2.0 sc TB needs a 75mm internal diameter pipe 🙂

Now I'm confused. Vockys SC TB needs a 75mm duct. But mark recons the 2.4 TB only needs the standard 70mm Pipe? Can someone with a 2.4 TB just measure the damn thing! lol.

It's pretty simple. I have a samco hose with an internal diameter of 70mm. I used that when fitting my BMC a couple of years back. When I fitted the 2.4 TB on the car as part of the 2.4 manifold install, the samco hosed fitted the TB without a problem.

Of course this is besides the point if 70mm piping is enough for a 2.4 TB...

Thanks Mark 😃 . Ill order the 70mm ID stuff then. Its probably better that size as it matches the dbilas flowmaster air box I have 😃 . It must leave the side of the TB very thin if its only 70mm OD with a 68mm ID notsure.gif . That works out at only 1mm thick wall? :? Oh well, hope your right, Its expensive this silicone hose stuff :shock:

I think you will find the 70mm stretches to fit and the 75mm is a loose fit, so perhaps it's 72,5mm :?

I will precisely measure it next time I go to my workshop... but have simply no idea of when this is

OK, I just measured the 2.0 sc 68mm tb....it's a 75mm outside diameter 🙂

Alanoo can you also measure the size of the butterfly on your 2.4 tb too cheers..

I've not seen one, so just want to confirm it is a 68mm cheers..

edit: the 2.4 is a 65mm TB 🙂
