While the clam is off there is a small crack in the GRP that requires some attention
I also plan on fitting the:-

Weapon R Exhaust Manifold,
2.4 Inlet manifold,
EGR cheater,
New Fuel Filter,
Gearbox breather mod.
New top Engine mounts and Poly inserts for the bottom one's
Explore the possibility of making the rear clam quick release :shock:
To top it all off I am planning on getting a 2bular cat back system drool.gif

Looks like I will be a busy boy this autumn construction.gif

And are you going to enlighten us as to where the heatshield material is from? ;-)

yes I still have the template 🙂

the heatshield material was purchased from Homebase, it's sold for protecting stuff when soldering water pipes etc - a flame proof mat 🙂

the alloy cover still gets hot, but it helps :roll:

Also, I'm considering the Weapon R manifold too if I can get luna_s to knock me up a downpipe (not asked him yet though :-O) as I think I might be confident enough to have a crack at cutting the clam...

the clam is a piece of cake to cut 🙂

just needs a little thought of where to cut the hole, then it's a soft material to cut 🙂

the mat is made from the same stuff as the exhaust wrapping 🙂
