Back On XP

Well, my computer automatically updated itself the other night, and since then, it's been saying that my copy of Vista is blocked, so disabled updates and the Aero interface.

Oh well, was nice while it lasted, so back onto XP.....and at least everything works (and my God it's fast compaired to Vista!)

Hehe .. That'll teach you for updating too fast. My general rule with new MS operating systems is to wait at least 18 months between when it's released and when to start using it. If not, at least wait until SP1.

totally agree cheers..

when new software is sent out at my company I wait a few months before installing it, then the bugs get sorted and I install the software which actually works :lol:

I'm actually quite glad I'm back on XP now, as I can use my mixing software again, as that didn't work on Vista. I won't be installing it again until I get a new PC

I am still waiting to have a real play with Vista... Kept away from it till now for the usual reasons, tho I need to have a play due to the increasing number of data recovery jobs with vista on the drive that are coming in I need to learn it much better...

Oh yeah, I'm pretty useless with cars (see other thread about the fooked engine!) but here is my speciality so will help out where I can!

I work for a data recovery company doing work in the labs, forensic investigations, and other technical business development.

I also have my own company which does web hosting, IT support, and offsite data backup! Never a quiet moment!

Nice one Craig, I could have done with a data recovery company a couple of years ago when my harddrive went, and I lost all my purchased mp3's (for mixing with).
