Finally got my refurbed alloys on!

Well i didnt manage to get them exactly the same as oem but they will have to do after all the agro i got doing them! I was going to lower the car but after driving it with 215/40/17 on i can feel a lot more vibration through the steering and the ride is hard enough for me, so i think i will leave it.
With the money i was gonna buy a set of Black diamond discs and pads from LMF, so i was wondering if anybody has them and recommends them? dunno..

i just got a set of them wheels mate, your car looks well sweat like that. the only thing i would suggest is change the grill for a black one

Thing is EVERYONE has a black grill, i wanted very subtle changes,to try and keep it close to standard but not...if you know what i mean :lol:

Although the Irmsher one with the aluminium strip looks nice but at £120 is a bit steep!

Nice job! I've got the 308mm Big Brake Upgrade kit from LMF that includes Black Diamond Drilled Discs, Caliper Extension Brackets and EBC Green Stuff pads. I would not have EBC Green Stuff pads again. I would either stick with standard pads or go for Mintex.

Can't fault the discs. I also bought the braided hoses too.

Are those Black diamond brake pads not worth bothering with then?

I know nothing about them mate. I friend of mine in VxlSCC has B/D Discs and standard pads on his and he swears by his pads. And as I mentioned about Mintex, i've heard very good things about them and also Pagid Pads that are available from Courtenay.

I know what you mean about the lowering issue. After putting 17s on mine a felt the ride was a little 'harsher'.

As Johnny says I wouldn't go near the GreenStuff Pads I had mintex pads with Brembo Disks on my H/B and the worst thing I done was put GreenStuff Pads on it doesn't see the road much now but when I need to replace the pads I'll deff go for Mintex again...

thanks Alan, ye ive heard some dodgy reports about Greenstuff pads, i'm off on holiday in a few weeks so when i get back i think i will go for the Black diamond discs with Mintex pads
