Fault code reading

Hi folks, had a search on the site regaring fault code reading.

On my vectra with a x20xev i could do the paper clip trick but can you still do it on the z22se??

you cannot use the paper clip method on the z22se ecu, you risk blowing the ecu :shock:

Okay thanks. Seen a few fault code readers on ebay (handheld type).

They say that they they only work from 2001! I know its a silly question but do you thing it would work on my 2000 plate z22se?????

the changeover year was 2000, so they quote 2001 as that's the first full year 🙂
