HI All, I drive a W reg 2.2 astra coupe and am having a few probs and welcome any advice. A few weeks ago had the dreaded timing chain fault with the car sounding like a diesel it was that rough. I bought the kit from vauxhall for 112 quid and a new water pump as figured in there anyway. Fitted kit no probs, bit of a pain just cos you have to take so much else off. The original chain was actually a tooth out as well but running hadnt seemed that bad. However when started up motor was sweet more power as obviously correctly timed now. The last two weeks car ran fine and then went on a long journey and it started misfiring, first thought S**T has new chain slipped!. But no thats not it. starts fine and runs sweet until engine hot and then starts to mis, occasional stall, etc. Thought perhaps wiring, checked all and fine, no ecu light and no money to take to vauxhalls so got to fix this myself!!!!!! Has anyone any ideas, so far have thought about, throttle body, coil pack, lambda sensors but mostly thinking about coolant sensor as misfiring is like running too rich. Any help or thoughts appreciated. 🙁 notsure.gif
