if its any help, my as try used to fly down and kick my stuff out everywhere so i took it out to investigate and theres a long metal rod that sits in a holw on each side, one side was out so i pushed the other back in just for the sake of it and it works fine !!!! the metal rod is attached to a spring to damp the tray !! Might be worth checking !?!?!? dunno..
