Recognised it as a 3.5 straight away, not surprising, well actually the 2ltr from that day would be quicker than your Veccy.

The difference Johnny is you know where you are gonna end up rather than wait for something to happen in fwd. Plus you can enter corners side on and go round em 1/3 quicker than fwd. Yep ive had me rwd play days but nothing more weird than crabbing down the road in 4wd with transfer box and lsd laying the power down :lol:

Gorgeous sounding engines same one as in the CSI635 from 1978 or 9.
Favourite commercially available engine the old Chevvy block Rover 3.5 V8, followed by the Ford Essex 3LTR and Cologne V6 2.8, 2.9EFI are pants.

plans are a stage zero reset back to origional. then go mad.... suspension, stereo, interior, maybe open the engine after that. Been thinking about going for the later M30b35 engine to replace the M30b34 that is in it. Add 10:1 pistons and a 274 shrick camshaft. I think 250bhp should be cake. This engine when chipped will net about 215bhp. I am thinking about doing a cam swap to a 3.2 cam with 264 duration for a bit better top end plus a few extra ponies everywhere else.

I love the tuneability of this car
compaired to the estate this thing is 100 times easier to tune.

in a word "Oversteer" it has so much torque that I could not find traction. I would come off a corner at 1500rpm in second gear tip in the throttle and vaporise the tyres. I guess I need wider and more importantly stickier tyres for next time.
