Drills and cold chisels tend to work best.
In other words brute force and ignorance :roll:
May be easier if you break the precat up, i drilled 12mm round the edge and across the centre line. Break one hole into the next and so on.
Recommend decent coated drills such as cobalt or titanium, plenty of coolant on the drill only and keep the speed down.

Tim no wonder you couldnt get it apart, its probably crimped to the downpipe, a right bitch when youve got two exhausts in to one. Like the two bolt flange the best where yours is clamped.
Bet that would be loud with a 200 cell cat.
