Front fog lights

After seeing a post on another forum site and most of our cars have front fog lights i thought i'd start a topic on here asking what peoples opinions are on driving with front fog lights on.

So what are your thoughts guys??

Only when foggy, no point otherwise. unless you want to race.

I use them when its dark down country lanes as it lights up the road better

I admit i use mine occasionaly but only when its foggy.

but what i'd like to know is why is it hated so much?? Can honestly say i've never been dazzled by standard fit fog lights. I find the new xenon/HID headlights a lot brighter and more dazzling than foglights.
