RE: Oil Leak

Hi there, I have a an oil leak on my engine, its coming from the bottom of the block and then up and forwards, I think, the oil is all over the alternator. First impressions I'm thinking crank seal.

But was wondering if any one else has had this problem??

My front crank seal went years ago, loses about a litre every 4k.

I did mate!! And benny changed it when he did my chain and nozel for me...

Does that look like the same as problem as you have got??

OIL LEAK

Mine is all over the alternator and ancillarie belts, haven't had a lok underneath yet. While its apart I'm gonna get the tensiomers and spray nozzle, is there anything else worth replacing while its in bits??

Also anybody know the cheapest place to get an air idle control valve and oxygen sensor from?? notsure.gif

May as well do the chain then i guess??? dunno..

was a relief when i had mine changed.. Big weight off my shoulders 🙂

Thanks fo the info, its on my mates ramp next week. Just gettin fed up of putting oil in it. Its gone through a litre in aweek, I've only done 350 miles. 🙂

there is no idle valve, the throttle body probably needs cleaning 🙂

Babber just donate £10 to this forum and the nice mr Vocky will send you a cheater out.
Blank off where the EGR valve fits either make one or buy from VX about a quid.
No issues with mine an early one.
