I've got a slightly different cable, but I think it is the same software. Software is pretty good at crashing (at least on my notebook). Has some nice options, especially since the cable has a converter piece with it that allows me to read out the airbag and ABS unit on the vx220.
It's cheap, and that's what you get 🙂
Good thing is that my cable also seems to work with the software I got with by first obd2 cable from http://www.obd-2.com . For me still the best software I've found, and it now also has the GM code descriptions in there, very usefull.
Anotherone I'm looking at is this one:

Doesn't need a notebook, doesn't need powersupply and is cheap. Ofcourse you can't log data with it, but you can read out diag codes and reset the EML. It's only 30 euro's so might be an option to keep one in the car permanent with the rest of the spanners 🙂
