Coolant, brake fluid & fuel filter change

I've just done a service on my Vectra B but I've come stuck on three parts.

A. Not sure how to do the coolant change. It says about draining the water pump but how do you get to the drain plug? Plus does anyone know a clean way to pull the pipe off the radiator and drain it?

B. Where is the bleed nipple for the clutch peddle?

C. Is there a trick to remove the fuel lines from the fuel filter? Couldn't get it off with a normal pair of pliers...

Not sure if the best or correct way but i chucked some system cleaner in with a bit of aluminium cleaner, run it for about 15 mins and left to cool.
I just pulled one of the heater hoses off and took out the thermostat housing under EGR valve. Put a hose pipe down in all orifices 😃 until clear and back together again with a coolant mix.

You can put your finger in the pipes etc to block and direct through head and rad.

To drain the water pump you have to get under the car and get to it from underneath. You will get wet!

I pulled off the bottom hose on my Vectra which was held in place by one of those sprung type clips. I wanted to kill someone whilst I was trying to remove it. All in all, i'll be paying someone to do it next time!

Have checked the How To Guilds and can't find one.

With the coolant - That's what I thought it might be...

I'm thinking about getting a pair of long nose pliers and bending the tips to push the clips in and release the hose... Good approach???

you can get some special pliers from machine mart to remove the fuel filter

Suppose you could replace with jubilee clips or similar.

Thats why i did mine as above, i knew what to expect :roll:

Ah right. I'll try that with the filter.

I had thought about changing the clamps to jubilee type. I did it on my previous cars.
