Firstly i have never used cheap tyres on the Veccy, always had Michellin Pilots, Toyo T1R and Goodyear F1.
I used to get serious pulling almost dragging and have to grab the steering wheel when worn. This is with numerous two wheel and four wheel tracks from reputable companies inc VX dealership.
Drop links changed.
Top mounts ok.
Replaced shocks first, then did the Polyflex jobby all round inc roll bars- Quite stable thereafter and still a good ride. Tyres so far have lasted +60% and the Polyflex all round have already paid for themselves within two months.
You can still feel the wheels wanting to do there own thing.
Have a look at a car on a rolling road, you will see the geometry change just through the power, the forces on cornering and braking are a lot higher!
Easy to fit the actual bushes, the roll bars are another story but figuring tighter the better there is less steering geometry that can alter and a very good starting point.
The nitty gritty of it all was the uneven camber. Most will say its fixed, it aint with oversize holes in the hubs. A guess would be 10 degrees of movement. VX did not put mine back on right after a recall suspension change!
Took me ages to figure it out, then booked it in with a specialist to set the camber and 4 wheel track £47.
