Europa_Blue_SE1 Could anyone give me a bit of help me and my Dad are replacing the rear pads on his S Type 3ltr how do you adjust the piston to fit the pads and also how do you release the Handbrake adjuster any help will be greatly appreciated guys... cheers.. Alan
Daz U need to wind the piston back in to the caliper alan,u need to turn it so it goes in but u need some pressure pressing inwards also...there a specail tool for it...but u can use water pump pliers and a g clamp..
Hareng Sounds like the 4WD Fords, i used a bearing puller and a flat blade keeping the pressure constant, it takes some doing on the cheap.
Europa_Blue_SE1 Thanks Daz you're a gentleman mate we had a look at it but it was taking us ages to try and figure it out... That's excellent then got they tools so prob get stuck into it today I'll let you know how we get on mate... cheers.. Alan ps you must have had some time in that 4.2 S/C S Type you had in drool.gif I thought the 3ltr was fast with the S button on and the TC button off it's a lot of fun 😃
Daz Just one word of warning tho alan....some of the calipers on l8r cars have got a left hand thread on one of the cailper pistons,so just be aware of that, Heres wot u shud use... Its got a left and right hand thread tool in there....
