I've got a 200cell on my car and have not had any problems with the EML. Long term emission tests by the ECU are also all ok.
When removing the lambda sensors I was very carefull. Didn't use wd40, but I did spray it with "rust shock". And even more important, use a special type of grease on the threads when placing it back. If coppergrease or something similar is used it is end of life for the lambda sensor..
Oh, and my lambda sensors weren't exactly new either, was over 70.000km on them when I moved them to the new exhaust.
