And Z22SE is fitted with a cam chain. But what about power, reliability , faults?
I am thinking of buying a Omega, but I think that chain (if serviced properly) is better than belt. I know that there were no Z22SE in Omegas, but I am also thinking about Vectra.
the 2.2 omega is rear wheel drive, usually an auto, the valve stem seals tend to fail, water pumps fail, cam belts can snap
the 2.2 vectra is front wheel drive, manual and auto versions, early cam chains can fail, low oil level can cause big ends to fail
both cars otherwise quite nice, the later omegas are a good spec - I would advise to go for a cdx, the last of the vec B's are also a good spec - I would advise to go for a sri or cdx
