Had a bit of a mare yesterday with the mig, first run of weld cylindrically, just like a pro. Assembled downpipe, cat, flexi, lambda end and a spacer, tacked it up in the wind, took the lot off and friggin welding wire kept sticking at slightest touch. Tried everything, even cleaned out the liner and used my FK lube on the reel, still no joy and looks like bird sh1t.
Got a liner somewhere off an industrial jobby, i will slap that on. Those pro and industrial migs are easy to use 3mm thick ms 300+ amps, spray weld with penetration and easy to see where you want to go, quite the opposite with diy and semi pro migs.
Some days its ok as proved earlier, this time i broke the tentioner grollying the thing up, had to use some moles to clamp the roller on to the motor driven wire feed. The driven roller just spins no matter what. Lost my rag numerous times.
Incidently i use ergoshield but have had it filled with co2 in the past to 110bar, have got a heater but not required at that pressure. Plus my bottles on a 99 year lease, so its mine it i'll see me through. 20 mins top whack on them disposables gave up on them decades ago at £7 each.
