the manifold is quite thin :roll:
you should be able to use some sort of plastic weld to fix the hole, when I was researching the mods a few guys in the states had made holes, so I only removed the bare minimum.
the main place to be careful is below the throttle body, one of the inlet runners can easily be 'holed'
