Got A light on

🙁 i'v got an engine coolant light on everything was fine on holiday air con ok etc went to see my perents jumped in the car turned off the air con started the car and there it was an orange coolent light :cry: put tech 2 on it and it can't access the coolant module? going to wheck the wiring and plugs tonight when i put my wheels etc on hope this cures the problem
Anyone else had this light on? if so what was it?

it means the water level in the expansion tank is too low 🙂

checked that its a picture of a radiator and a fan, the lever is built in with the MFD and would say coolant level low, according to the owners manual its cooling system control unit fault.?

might be worth disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and see if it clears notsure.gif

Lights still on i disconected and reconected the coolant control module turned the ignition on an the light flashed and went off 😃 the left it to warm up and it's on again :evil: and now it will not go out again!!!!!! :evil: :cry: not sure what to try next?

Is ure aircon still working ok neil?

If you have use of tech2 see if you can get into the engine ecu side of things as sometimes coolant and engine codes will be active in the other system if you get what I mean. Do a data list check in the engine side of things and it will show most of the items you`ll see in the coolant module side of things. Also when the light comes on does your rad fans come on as well?

My old coupe did this when i used the air con, i have no cure for it but it puzzled the hell out of me!! It put the warning light up once or twice after i turned the air con off, but would go away if i turned the ignition off...... bizzare!!

no daz aparently cooling side goes into limp mode when the light is on and will not let it on? when i got the light out it worked fine?

cheers joey i'll give that a try later and no the fans don't come on with the light?

it's flashed up a couple of times but that was a long time ago like you say turned the ignition off and on and it went out? dam technology!

thinking of getting a control module but would it have to be programed into the ecu with tech 2 as idon't think i have the car pass?

Had a 1.8sri in today,and his coolant light was on too...and the engine fan was on constant,was this the same with ures neil....

Fan was not on but the air con didn't work if thats any help?

He mentioned the aircon was on the blink....will take a peak when he comes in next//
