Help needed...

I know this isnt a z22se question.. But a friend of mine needs some help!!

Hes looking @ buying a astra turbo coupe or maybe a gsi.. Now he is slightly conserned that most of the cars he is looking @ have 3-4 owners and are only 52-03 registration.

Is this because they are may be unreliable/problamatic??

Any one have any knowlege of these engines/cars??

I had a sri Turbo, great car 😃

insurance is high 🙁

turbo's last about 50k 🙁

they tend to get hammered 🙁

but a good one is worth the hassle 😃

the astra vxr is about the only car I might consider selling my vx220 for, in a few years :lol:

Hes looking @ one with 60k on it for £6500 on a 04 plate.. Its a coupe but without the irmscher kit??

That seems to make a big difference to the price.. But of course doesnt look so good

Sorry cant help but the Courtney used to give a run for me money with over 300hp, bike performance!

Yeh thats what hes afraid of i think :?

Ive gone overboard on mine since mid March, just decent parts no labour came to about what the cars worth and wont get it back. Still needs about £900 in parts urgently about a third of expenditure so far.
Thats why you get 42 to 50p/mile expenditure at any decent company, i only get 7p.

Make sure the water pump has been changed (They tend to fail on the turbo astra) and check the condition of the turbo. If it has full service history, i would go for it 8)
