Anyone wanna replace a Z22 Head on a VX220?

Well looks as though the warranty company isnt playing ball so after a bit of a fight i just got my money back and am left with this heap to myself!

So are there any competent mechanics in here that would do it for me with the Cam chain? ££££'s waiting and ill happily open the beer bottles, hand over tools and make tea.

Was thinking of K-Seal but really want it doing properly without the £1700 quote ive just had!!

depends where you are dunno..

Benny is a vx mechanic and would probably do the work for you, he lives in the wolverhampton area, might be worth giving him a pm 🙂

sorry, that was a little naive of me, thought i added it to my profile!

Im from Sheffield so Wolves isnt too far, ill try to source a head from somewhere and give him a shout.

If anyone knows where there is a Head, a pointer would be nice. Saw one on Fleabay recently but missed it 🙁

a brand new 'bare' head is about £550, that might be the best solution dunno..

can easily get the CNC ported head bare from the US for that much though....

I think im getting the Head from Megavaux - was quoted over £100 less than a Vaux dealer and that includes the full head set... Makes re-profiling the cams a little easier!

Got the car running on K-Seal at the moment - pikey and indeed temporary for me, just gives me some time to drive my new baby in the sun while i get everything Prepped and Ported...
