Hey, just a quick post to say hello really, cool site you guys have, I'm still researching the 2.2 powerplant that sits at the front of my 2001 Vectra B SRi 150.
I've been a Vxl head all my life, having had 3 Astra mk3s since I could drive. Unfortunately my last Astra GSi was involved in a nasty incident witha deer, and it resulted in me getting my mum's Veccy SRi... No big thing, altho my GSi was quicker and I miss that! (Probably why I am rebuilding it 😃 )
Being new to the 2.2... are there any issues I should be aware of?
I've been driving it quite hard since I got it, learning the car really, and to be honest I am very impressed with the handling compared to my Astra GSi which was on Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs, for a standard set up its quite a hard ride... (Which is good! 😃 ).
What are the best things to do to it performance wise?
And also, what is the name of the browny/purple pearlescent colour mine is painted in... Pics to follow...
