.......Vauxhall are lending him a VXR8 to use as a pace/safety car at the next track day at work. They`re decaling it up as I type, not sure when he will get it, the track day is the 1st/2nd sept?

Sorry about the late reply, lost my Orange connection for a while!!!!

I`m an Avionics Technician in the RAF, been off aircraft for a while now stuck in a Bay working Countermeasure Pods, soon to be working Laser designators and recconasanse Pods.

The ECM pods I work on/soon to be scrapped, are off the now out of service Jaguar, happy 8 - 4.30 lazy days, ....my next post will take me with the Tornado to sunny Afghanisan & Al Udied, nice, 🙁

I used to work on F1-11 Fighters when I was an apprentice many years ago. I was really suprised at how well they were doing considering that they came into service in 1967. British Aerospace in Filton had the overhaul contract back in the late 80's early 90's. I spent some time working on fuel tanks and leading edge repairs.

Wow, the F1-11, used to have them buzzing overhead when I used to live in Banbury, Oxfordshire, I`ve seen some of your other posts, quite a skilled young chappie 8)

Hes an complete car nut, trys to get a couple a year sorted. & were always busy :oops:

I took today off work to find out a Superbike rider (can`t remember who) is racing a Tornado down the runway. Gutted.
Remember at Coltishall a XJ220 did the same with a Jaguar aircraft, as the jet left the ground it had just pipped the lead. Cracking to watch & hear.
