Recommend a courier?

Hi, i have a buyer on ebay for my bumper, can anyone recommend a carrier as all the ones ive looked at says the max length is 1.5m. The bumper is 2m+80cm+40cm approx notsure.gif

I always use TNT Overnight. That's the courier we use thru' work.

If you can get it sent thru' a works account it will be a lot cheaper than normal. I sent my Vectra bumper on TNT and it cost me £15. And that was with insurance.

TNT is business account holders and business to business delivery, yep i used to use them at work.
Mind they dont lose it, theres a big box down your way Johnny, £14k+ to replace and only received after a long winded solicitor battle £3.5k in compensation. The front line and drivers are usually great, its just that they dont get informed.

Likewise, when we were using them daily collect and receive multiple items, you can slip in the odd one or two. Wouldnt ring up specifically. The way round it is, to your knowledge its a business address, i know many that work from home throughout the UK.

Packaging, think how it is going to be handled and pack accordingly. Address highly visible in black ink marker for larger items, smaller i used to print off on A4 and stick it to the parcel they call a carton.
Oops they are collecting tomorrow expensive item one carton to Wootton under edge, is it ok there?

Wotton Under Edge is a VERY well to do area in the countryside just outside of Bristol. About 10 miles away from me. There's a very good engineering factory out there too. Renishaw, they make superior probe measurement systems for companies world wide. Its quite a good place to work appartently.

thanks for your help Johnny , TNT would take it as it was a personal one off, but i found a company ANC who will take it for £15.80 so im well chuffed

Used to use ANC at a place where i worked some years ago, pretty good for run of the mill stuff.
Not saying any company name and not listed above, had a bit of a laugh at a driver this afternoon, dunno where they find em, glad she collected the item meaning the onus is on the customer :roll:
