i have had over standard, i have a full remus cat back, derestricted the airbox, having my precat drilled out and ported TB and inlet manifold done next weekend, having a live remap in august. Do you reckon a sports cat will add further ponies ???

Probably looking at 165/170bhp with a sports cat. This is the norm before spending mega money.

So all that other mods will only give an extra 20bhp???...not much is it!

Tell me about it. I've spent around £3800 to get mine upto 178bhp. The 170bhp is quite a generous estimate for normal mods. To get up into the high 170's to 180bhp you would need head work, cams and a nice tubular manifold.

I haven't had my car on the dyno since adding my ported T/B and new induction pipe. Also, my current exhaust cat-back system is only 2" dia. so that's robbing me of some more power. The last dyno was back in October at Chipped UK and I only had a few hundred miles on the engine since being worked on. Once the head is settled in and carbed up again it should gain a little bit more. When i've got my new Milltek fitted in the next few months and my new Hoffman downpipe i'll be hoping for a figure up in the 180's.

I know, i wish it was easier and cheaper to mod the 22.
im having the ported TB and inlet manifold of vocky, whats the induction pipe, do i need it, will it make a difference??

The remap will give 10-12, so the exhaust, derestricted airbox, ported TB and manifold, and no pre cat will only add another 15bhp, hardly worth it is it, but needs must.

Read thru'. I used 2 different pipes in my development. The last pipe towards the bottom of page 1 is what i'm currently running.

Vocky is the man for cams. I think £300 sounds right for Piper cams or regrinds. There's a thread on this in the Tuning section I think?? Mine were just a little bit more expensive. Courtenays use Schrick cams with double valve springs and new collets. They are around £750/£800!!

Also............DON'T rely on the remap finding you 10/12bhp. 7bhp is more like it.

will the induction pipe make any difference then?...cant afford as manifold at the mo, they are about £450.

Ere Neil, which pipe did you get in the end? Also, if you're coming down to the mini-meet, be very careful with your front spoiler when you drive upto the entrance of Daz's garage.

i did, just he said he has the one at the bottom of page one now, not this one...The Vectra C part# is: 9231937. I had to order this in specially from Germany

(The Vectra C part# is: 9231937) This pipe, the first one, will fit with no problems. It comes with NO holes in. I had to drill the hole for the air-temp sensor and modify the fuel pressure regulator take off pipe. I wasn't really happy with it when I first done it so I looked at the other pipe (Part# 9177095) that was available which had a place for the fuel pressure reg pipe and it had a hole for the cam cover breather if I wanted to use it. I blanked off the cam breather hole in the pipe with a rubber grommet and attached the fuel pressure reg take off pipe.

I have since moved my fuel pressure reg pipe to the take off on the inlet manifold and now blanked off the hole that was left. Basically both pipe will do the same job but I was experimenting.

If I were you I would go with the 1st pipe. Fit a small breather filter to your cam cover breather pipe and relocate your fuel pressure reg pipe to the inlet which we can do for you on the weekend when you come to Daz.

So if i order the Vectra C part# 9231937 from vxl, it will hopefully be here by next sunday, which diameter filter do i need to order?
My car should feel a hell of lot of difference driving home next sunday!!!.... cant wait now.
