Well I knew I might have a wet floor when I bought this new Astra the other month, so I decided today to remove the drivers side carpet and give it all a good tidy up and to protect the floor with some body sealer (I only had black :roll: ). The floor was soaking, as the foam under the carpet holds the water and it has no place to go. This could corrode the floor numbers after a while. What I do is remove some of the foam in the largest areas by cutting it off. This will give it a chance to dry out better when the heaters are on. A quick test to see if you have a wet floor is by removing the plastic cover over your floor chassis numbers, tuck your fingers under the foam to see if it's wet. Thats it. I am happy again knowing mine is all dryed out and protected 🙂
