how did you load the sata drivers before? where they embedded on the instalation disc? or did you have a floppy?
i don't have a windows disc for my pc, when i bought it i had to create a master dvd. i reinstall windows using that. the sata drivers must be on that disk. problem is now when i try to use it i get an error message.
Ok so might seem like a stupid question but can you not make another disc? i take it, windows was on a recovery partition on the hard drive?
It seems that the motherboard in yours is slightly different from one that you can buy as a seperate to make a custom build, and the fact they have embedded the sata/raid controllers into the installation disc doesnt help.
If you have a mate or a spare pc try installing it on that, just to eliminate the dvdrom drive as faulty. But if that doesnt work i think you may have to get them to send you a replacement disc. Are they expensive?
Oh for got to ask have you ever needed to press f6 at the beggining of an instalation or do you just let it install?
