Regal manifold or cams re-profiled

Well it's fastly coming upto my birthday and thinking of what i would like and i think i am going to spend a bit of cash on the motor.

Not sure what i should go for though, get my cams re-profiled by piper or get the regal manifold.

I dont want to drop much more in MPG.

Any adivce welcome

or if either upgrades are really worth it.

cams are good - 10 bhp

regal exhaust should also be good - 5 bhp

cams are probably better, but I would go for both :lol:

I can not do both at the moment, you are bad influence Vocky.

Will Cams really affect my MPG on normal driving Vocky? And will I see gains at higher up the rev range or across the whole of it?

What kind of labour times will i be looking at to fit cams?

no it's these cams, same price £198 + vat + postage 🙂

fuel consumption usually falls with performance mods :roll:

more air in, more fuel required 🙂

ive had my shrick cams in 7months now and not noticed that much of a diff with fuel consumption but must say on the motor way i get more

Would i need anything else doing if i went down the cam route or is it a simple send off and re-fit, would i need extra parts / head work? why is courtney nearly £500 more?

maybe courtney use schrick cams? those will need headwork and uprated valve springs

yep ! tickover might get a bit lumpy though. U dont get that with the schrick cams but other then thats its put them in and enjoy the power

I've got Schrick cams in mine.

i got the reprofiled piper cams but had them fitted at same time as zorst.
labour was about 2 hours.the superchips man said the cams will only work to
full potential after remapping.sports cat,zorst,cams,remap=16hp gain+empty
wallet! 😃

Yep it's already had a live re-map should have done the mods first really, at the time i didnt think i was going to bother with any more mods but the bug has bitten.
