Just found this to help explain.
The secondary air injection pump pumps air into the exhaust to help heat the catalytic converter at cold start. This lowers the emissions at an otherwise high emission time.
According to the manual i've got, the pump is located behind the battery which mine clearly isnt as theres a hole in the wing thats why i'm wondering if it is actually fitted. notsure.gif
